As a HR Apprentice I work in the HR team to create positive employee experiences. This includes guiding managers and leaders in relations to HR policies and the correct procedures to follow. Supporting on employee relation cases . Managing the absence process from supporting employee welfare to collecting data and analysing trends.
Yes, I am always learning new skills and developing skills I currently have. There are lots of opportunities to learn from your team/ colleagues who may be more experienced. Some skills I have developed are: - Communication - Team Work - Decision making - Case management - Time Management
I really enjoy my programme- I have a really supportive team and opportunities to learn and develop skills. I am also able to connect with people working in different teams when I go to uni.
The programme is well structured I always know when my University deadlines are and who to contact if I need support. There are times when I don't know if University will be online/ in person or if the dates are changing which can sometimes make it hard to plan.
I always feel supported by my Line Manager and team.
Good support from training provider- I know who to contact if I need support.
The training course provides more context to business decisions and I am able to apply learnings to the workplace. I wouldn't say it helps me to perform better but rather it gives me more knowledge that I can apply when making decisions.
Sometimes, I know there are other locations within Unilever who offer more extra curricular activities.
