My role involves working in an office or at home and contributing to the design & draughting of civil engineering projects within Power Transmission & Distribution.
Lots of new skills have been gained through my time here such as management skills, communication & learning to use new software.
I enjoy it very much- every day is different and I love the fact that I'm always learning something new.
My programme is structured quite well as I get to move around teams withing Power T&D which allows me to gain experience in different areas.
I am very well supported by my employer. If I need anything they are always there to help and support especially when it comes to university and my professional development.
I am well supported with this as I get to rotate and get the relevant experience in different departments. There is ongoing support and considerations made as to whether the work I am doing will help me progress.
My degree helps me perform better in my role as I get the essential knowledge and understanding from it that I require. Most of my university modules go hand in hand with what I do at the workplace so its extremely useful.
There are lots of extra curricular activities to get involved in at work provided by our own organisation at this office location. They have regular activities and free food planned throughout the year- including a christmas market at the end of the year.
