I am training to be a Funeral Director. My role is to support our clients arrange a funeral tailored to their needs. I act as an advocate on their behalf and uphold the highest standards.
Lots. Communication skills, listening skills, leaderships skills.
I like to arrange my own work load and learning and this apprenticeship gives me the flexibility to do this.
Again, I have control over my learning and experience. I fit it around my current role.
My employer is always on hand. The only thing I would say is to be pushed more to be hands on.
My couch is available and checks in. She is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience to share and point me in the right direction.
I learn about not only doing the role but what it takes and the bits in between that will help me progress to be the best I can be. Lots of videos, and information is available to complete my tasks. I can refer back to them again/again.
Maybe the NAFD conference. I am always looking for extra courses or experiences to help me.
