in my role as an apprentice i do mostly engine swaps, but i am starting to do high horsepower engines. i do all the normal house keeping roles to make sure my work area is clear and assist my colleges as and when they need my help. some occasions i go out in the field to assist the techs.
I have learnt alot of skills around engines and turbos and gone into depth about how they work and how they are made and fault finding which is a very useful skill i can take home when i work on my own cars. i am improving my customer relationships when i go out into the field as well
I do really engine my job even on the days when it can be challenging.
the college course im on is a very generic engineering course, its a good course but i would of liked it to be more in depth about engines
I get full support at work, if i am struggling with anything from college work to mental health they will help me and give me full support
College will give me lots of help towards any work i need and that I'm stuck with.
My qualifiactoin help because its giving me the basic skills to do my job and helps me progress
I go on shows with work where i work on a stand and talk to people about the company
