  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I manage roles from posting the job role to onboarding the successful candidate. this involves communicating with hiring managers and booking interviews. i also manage the recruitment inbox, post the new joiner's on Linkedin and am part of projects within my team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • my diary management skills have significantly improved as well as my communication skills - I can confidently speak to high up managers. I have also learnt a huge about about the recruitment process.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my programme, it has really opened my eyes to how interesting recruitment can be, it has also been really useful to work in such corporate environment. The early careers team at C4 are really great, I have regular check ins with a buddy as well as meetings with the Apprenticeships manager.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, I have biweekly calls with my tutor and regularly set tasks.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support, the early careers team at C4 cannot be faulted, I have regular check ins as well as a buddy who I can speak to at any time. Its really important to see how much the team really care for their apprentices.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot of support, my tutor is always available when I email, as well as we have calls every 2 weeks to check up on how I am doing, if I needed a call during the week she would be available, she askes and is very flexible if I need a call every week.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think my work solidifies what i work in the week, i think my work shadow log can help me to reflect on what I have learnt.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, we often have social events, as well as opportunities within the working day such as screenings and personal development talks and opportunities.

  • Yes

  • The support I have received is really great as well as the opportunities C4 have provided for me


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Channel 4?
  • Be passionate about the role you are applying for, recruiters want to see a passion over experience as the role doesn't require experience it wants candidates to want to learn and develop their knowledge.
