I have learnt and developed multiple skills for example comminution skills and utilising different softwares efficiently.
I really do enjoy my programme as this is a learning journey for me and I believe that this firm is incredibly supportive throughout the process and I have key figures that I can always confide in if anything is not working out.
Very well structured. I have one day dedicated as my study day. This has always been consistent since I have started. I attend university in person so the element of 'missing out on the university experience' is not present.
A lot of support. I have a dedicated mentor to help me transition between seats as well as a Performance Manager, that I have meetings with every fortnight to check my progress and workload. There is also a Performance Leader that constantly updates myself and the other apprentice of any news.
We have experienced several issues with the training provider however these have since been rectified when raised with the firm. We have not experienced any issues since but as a whole the training provider has been very supportive and we are assigned a coach leader to guide us on the necessary requirements to qualify at the end of the apprenticeship route.
Various different events offered that range from team only to firm wide. Perfect opportunity to network with people of all positions and different departments.
Yes
It is an amazing firm to work in especially when working as an apprentice. Everyone is extremely supportive and understand the positions that apprentices are in and offer guidance and support through every journey. The firm really does uphold all its values and everyone is connected regardless of the fact that it is a massive international firm.
Be yourself. KPMG look for authentic people that bring unique perspectives to their work. This is highly valued in the firm. Demonstrate how effectively you are able to work in the team as this is also an important value they uphold throughout their work.
