Technology Apprentice, my role currently involves going on placements in different teams around technical services. Picking up skills and learning what each individual cell does, getting both hands on experience as well as leaning by watching.
I have learnt how to do some coding which is very useful as it can be used to automate some tasks. I have also developed meeting skills and how I communicate with people.
I enjoy this programme very much, there is always something to get involved in and always part of the team rather than being 'surplus' to requirements. I also get to meet a lot of talented and skilled people.
I feel valued by Tesco and part of the team I am in and I am always listened to and my thought are appreciated.
I am part of the third intake of apprentices to the programme is still fairly new, however, it is well structured and there is a good balance of time studying and time in the office learning.
I receive a good amount of support from the training provider. There are easy to contact and reply quickly with help to any issues.
I get extremely good support from my employer, everyone is very approachable if I have a problem and there are always willing to help with any problems.
My salary meets my expenses comfortable.
Yes, there are always social events going on as well as charity events which are always good fun to get involved in.
Yes
The programme is very good and extensive. It gives you a good background in technology to give you a good opportunity to get you into the position you want once the programme is over.
Always be honest, and enjoy the interview process, they need to remember that everyone is on their side and wants you to do well.
