I do Project Management, in logistics planning and sustainability.
I have learnt how to use excel, learnt efficient business communication, learnt project management skills, leadership skills.
I do enjoy the communication parts of my job and the project management side, however, I really do not enjoy the logistics aspect of my job.
At the start of my apprenticeship my degree was canceled, which set me back a year, however, it has commenced it is much better.
I receive lots of support from my employer.
There is support on offer, however it is limited.
At this current point I do not feel it has had a huge impact, it is more the other way around.
Yes, as apprentices we organised lots of events and nights out ect, usually with the interns as well.
Yes
I would not say there is a clear cut answer to this question, as within my organisation there are many departments with hugely varying roles. With regards to my role, there is no way I would recommend it to someone else, however, for other departments, I absolutely would. As a whole I think the apprenticeship is good. I think I have been unlucky with my training provider and department, but can see that there are other great apprenticeships available in my organisation.
I would recommend that people try to reach out to someone in the organisation for advice and make sure they know what they are getting themselves in for. If they are applying for a logistics apprenticeship, I would strongly advise them against it.
