Designing building services for projects
I have learnt how to use many softwares and engineering knowledge
I have really enjoyed learning alongside colleagues and being able to follow my interests and take part in a wide variety of large projects
I was supposed to spend 6 months in: BIM, Public Health, Mech and Electrical. Instead I ended up doing a year of BIM and a year of Electrical. This worked for me as I wanted to do electrical but this programme was not intentional. Just managed incorrectly
I receive lots of support from my colleagues and have a timecode to book my training to. I do not like the apprenticeship course arranged for MottMac employees called "Develop your personal brand". I feel like it was taking me away from important college tasks or project work and I had nothing to show for it. There were 5-6 of these courses and all of them were no use to me.
Barely any, very badly managed.
It does not, anything I have learnt, I have taught myself or have been taught by colleagues, my training provider has not helped one bit. If I had the option, I would not have had a training provider as my experience with them was very unsatisfactory
Other than team lunches, christmas parties, networking as a team, etc. I do not take part in other activities. That being said, there are a ton of activities offered to employees, I just do not partake.
Yes
From the moment I joined Mott MacDonald, I have been treated fairly and like part of the team, I am listened to when I have an opinion or idea and my team has developed my abilities so well that I am now able to help others and work autonomously
Have a love for engineering, problem solving and developing solutions. If you show this on your application, Mott MacDonald will be more than interested in hearing more.
