Underwriting property insurance policies allocated to me within the team.
Yes, RSA prioritises personal development and growth in multiple ways: partnering us with experienced mentors, monthly calls with senior management to learn more about the company, focus on achieving qualifications and regular training.
Personally enjoy most of the programme especially networking with other apprentices and grads. The team is very welcoming of apprentices and often go out of their way to help. Though the education provider can sometimes be not understanding of day to day workloads, however this is not a fault of RSA.
We have regular monthly call meetings with all the apprentices, apprentices for the first few weeks spend all their time learning together about underwriting as well as having in person meetups every couple months.
We have weekly meetings to discuss, here we often can share any requests support we might need and our managers are very supportive.
Though the business has peaks and troughs where you may receive slightly less time. Generally we receive lots of support and can also receive extra time to prepare. Which is great when prepping for the exams.
The qualification gives me general understanding of the insurance market.
Yes there are community activities we have, additionally we frequently have a quiz night.
Yes
People are very pleasant to work with across the board. Large focus on personal development and growth.
Make sure to get an understanding of what the company is about to see if both sides are a good fit.
