I am currently working as a Customer Experience Specialist. My job role is to look after customers ensuring that all their orders come through into our system smoothly, dealing with any delivery issues, dealing with logistic claims, ensuring the customer gets the stock they are entitled to and much more.
Yes I have learnt and developed many new skills. I have developed my communication, teamworking and excel skills and learnt how to build relationships with customers.
I enjoy my programme a lot as it has given me the opportunity to gain experience within one of the biggest consumer goods company in the world. However, I would have liked to move between functions more instead of staying in Supply Chain for the whole apprenticeship.
I would say that my programme is not that well organised in terms of rotating jobs yearly. We are not given an option in what path we want to go down within our career when being allocated our next job role. We are put into a new job role depending on business needs, without our needs being taken into account.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. My manager is very helpful and supporting of my career and my needs and will always allocate some time in helping me with things I'm struggling with or don't understand too well.
I receive a lot of support. We have multiple meetings to ensure everyone understands the qualification modules and assignments which helps a lot.
Very much so. I have learnt a lot about business management in general which gives me a better understanding of the business and environment that I am working within.
Yes lots of activities. Lots of fundraising events, there is a football and netball team and lots more!
Yes
Unilever as a whole is a great business to join when beginning your career because you are thrown into the deep end as soon as you join. You get lots of important job roles and you are given the opportunity to work on interesting projects.
Unilever is very much team based and is always fun! Always research the business prior to applying to give you better insight into the type of people Unilever wants to employ. Just be yourself!
