My role as a dental nurse involves providing clinicians and patients with chair side support during treatment. Setting up and clearing down surgery and completing decontamination and sterilization processes.
I have learnt a range of new skills and developed existing skills further. I have learnt legislations within healthcare and how these are applied day to day in practice. I have learnt the methods of several dental treatments and how to prepare for each
I enjoy my programme and the ability to continue to learn. I look forward to attending webinars and learning from resources provided.
My programme is overall well organised and involves sessions which are organized ahead of time to help keep on track.
I receive great support from my employer when it is needed and am continuously informed of further opportunities available to me.
I receive great support from webinar tutors as well as my portfolio assessor Jessica Matthews who continues to support me to the best of her ability throughout my course.
My qualification allows me the knowledge and skills needed to perform my role to my highest capabilities.
