Planning, executing and completing the audit of a business's financial statements either remotely or in person.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The main skills that I have developed since undertaking my apprenticeship are being highly analytical and strong, confident communicator.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my programme - I've discovered skills I didn't know I had and build relationships with wide network.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structed and allows for the ACA qualification to be gained in a timely manner.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

BDO have provided extensive support to me throughout the apprenticeship, both inside and outside of work.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

BPP are an amazing training provider. The tutors are experts in their fields and the resources available for use are plentiful.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge learnt in the ACA qualification provides a technical foundation for all the audit work I'm expected to perform.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

BDO organise and host a number of different extra-curricular activities, ranging from casual social events to formal networking sessions.

Yes

BDO provide all the required support any apprentice would ever required. They pay competitively and the work is varied, meaning no two days are the same!

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?

Do background research on the BDO - look at the values, goals and missions of the business!
