  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I started doing basic things like PDI and maintainence, but now they treat me like any other tech and do quite a lot of different jobs except diagnostic as I am not confident with it.

  • A lot of skils, from using torque rench and spanners, rachets..... and learning how to work on tight spaces, and also a lot of knowledge on vehicles

  • I love this trade and I really enjoy working on Pentagon Ford and the skillnet program

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was badly organaised at the beginning with Remit, but since we done the change to Skillnet has been very organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot, the workshop controller help me out in everything he can and give me challenging jobs whenever he can, so I can learn more

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Since I am with Skillnet im reciving quite a lot of support with my personal tutor as well as with all the other teachers at the VCT and at the Henry Ford Academy.

  • We are just starting, so everything is really basic at the moment but I am still learning a lot of things.
