  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Level 2 of the apprenticeship involves coming in and stacking shelves, running tills and communicating with customers. It also involves the odd “management” job such as taking in the offsales. No day is ever the same which makes each shift exciting.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My customer service skills have improved. Time keeping and also being able to come in for a shift at 5am.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is very enjoyable as its very flexible in term of a work life/social life balance. Great team to work alongside with and work is always interesting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, i always know my plan when i start my shift and always end the day satisfied with my work. I get a months notice with my rota so i can easily plan out my non work life in correlation to my work life.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Despite not needing to require the support, support resources are available throughout making it a great company to work for.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am given as much time as im needed to work on my coursework and whenever i have any questions they are always answered instantly. Feedback is also given when required making my development very easy.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I get a further understanding through my course for what i need to achieve on the shop floor. From techniques to use when serving customers to the best methods to stack shelves.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Annual football matches are hosted for all to join in and many other events occur throughout the year.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great company to work for. Hours are great and pay is amazing. Overall great morale throughout the team and teamwork is more than achieved. The aldi experience is a great one and i would highly recommend to all.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Make sure you are focused and ready to work 5am shifts. Always work with a positive attitude and you will end up with want you want to achieve.
