My role includes overall management of the organisation. I am involved in the recruitment of staff, maintaining the finances of the company, and ensuring that standards of care are maintained,
I have learned new skills such as project management and enhanced skills such as delegation, time management and networking.
My programme is great. It involves learning in class and online. I enjoy the interactions with fellow students and tutors. There are many challenges along the way but the benefits to students are immense.
The programme has a good structure, however, there are many changes based on the feedback from previous students. I felt when it came to the second year, the project management was not given enough time, especially to those who were not experienced in the subject. The tutors were very supportive though.
My employer was very supportive and that made all the difference. The demand of the job meant that the 7 hours provided for each week were not quite sufficient in the second year, however, my employer ensured that I managed o get extra hours to meet the demands of my education.
The university is very supportive, there is plenty of support online, the student support team, and the tutors. The welfare of the students is paramount and there is plenty of support to maintain positive mental and physical health.
My qualification through the university is a significant help in boosting my contribution to managing my organisation. By the end of the first year, my employer and I had noted the benefits of studying and my input at work has grown significantly. Staff also realise the benefits.
There are many professional networking events that I access through the local registered managers group but nit much through the organisation itself.
Yes
The company is very supportive of its employees and there are many opportunities for self-development for employees.
If they are interested in learning and personal growth, they will be fully supported by management.
