  • I assist the dentist for chair side assistance and carry out decontamination processes along with stock checks, and further training.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt about new advancing technologies such as CBCT and OPG scans, implant processes and the instruments used. I have also learnt basic life support skills when doing training.

  • I really enjoy the course so far as I’m getting to learn lots of interesting things whilst putting this into practice at work.

  • Very good. With help from many sources such as the tutor, assessor, mentors, and additional support contacts if needed.

  • Lots. They are always looking for ways to help me like talking with my assessor and finding resources for me as well as giving tips about practical learning.

  • Lots. My assessor is always keeping me updated and on track so I can achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • I have a better understanding about what and why I perform certain duties as part of my role. So I can make sure I am keeping the work place a safe, professional, and happy environment.

  • On occasion we will take part in social activities such as escape rooms as a work team to encourage our team building skills and bonding.
