  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm involved in a range of projects in the residential and commercial sectors and I'm responsible for assisting the delivery of pre and post contract cost management services which include tender preparation and analysis, cost planning, value engineering, cost reporting and undertaking valuations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This has let me develop excellent communication and negotiation skills that aid in the delivery of projects through effective collaboration with client teams and contractors alike. I have also improved upon my leadership and teamworking abilities through the people I work with and the work I undertake as part of the team

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have an incredibly understanding team who have helped me develop my skills while also maintaining a social atmosphere to enable a team spirit. The freedom and trust my team allow me also help increase the enjoyment of the programme

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well organised, the UCEM aspect ran smoothly and allowed my to achieve a 1st class honours for my degree, however the APC/RICS element that followed still remains slightly unorganised but these are two separate parts to the training

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • An excellent amount of support and understanding, all I needed to do was ask when I felt that I needed it.

  • my apprentice outcomes officer from UCEM was fantastic

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It shows that I am a competent individual who is willing to work hard to achieve my goals

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are but I can't say I've been involved in any myself

  • 9a. Would you recommend JLL to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • JLL is an incredibly forward thinking company from it's social values to it's desire to look after it's employees, I've always felt safe and supported at work while receiving incredible benefits from the pension and paternity schemes to name a few.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLL?
  • If you are confident that this is the industry you'd like to get into then you should apply without hesitation, just be yourself and be confident in the knowledge you can present to an interviewer while keeping a fluid conversation going, ember that everyone that works here was once aiming to get an interview just like you!
