Apprentice Nursery Practitioner Review

My main duties and responsibilities are to establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment throughout the nursery ensuring that each child receives a high quality early education and and equal chance to success. I also ensure that the children attending the nursery receive a high level of quality care providing a loving and consistent environment and being responsive to their individual needs, such as play, personal care, feeding and sleep. Record keeping and observation and assessment is also a key element in my job role.

Yes, I have learnt in depth about the development of children from birth to 7 years from brain development, to physical development, transitions and child development theories. I have also learnt a lot about laws and legislation around childcare such as safeguarding policies and procedures, The children's act 2004, Data protection Act 2018 and GDPR 2018.

I have enjoyed being able to complete my course whilst also learning on the job, and still receiving a full wage at the end of the month,

Very, I feel I receive all the support required from my manager and assessor and feel I am given adequate amount of time off the job to complete my course.
