Software Engineering
Learnt how to program, develop UIs, data storage
Highly enjoyable and continued to learn throughout and suspect I will post apprenticeship
Makers course was a bit disorganised, inconsistent material and poor structure at times, although all coaches were very helpful. My transition to placement was the first time the company had run so a more defined onboarding process for new apprentices would be good
Lots of support from manager and fellow colleagues to help me develop
My placement coach was great and helped me with all my questions and was very empathetic
Gives a good exposure to a wide range of things that I may not have had without it, but would still have learnt a lot just going in as an assoicate engineer without working towards an actual qualification
Lots of communities for diversity and inclusion, social events organised throughout the year and sports teams that represent the company
Yes
Good, talented people that encourages collaboration
Be yourself
