I was an auditor in the Manchester centre of excellence specialising in Tax areas of the wider audit. I would take the role of a performer within my placement populating Tax EGA's.
Yes my excel skills have improved massively while on placement in addition to my networking skills.
The programme has been extremely enjoyable as it has mixed in University learning with on the job experience. My responsibility even as an FS1 is very important in terms of contributing to the firm wide audit goals.
The programme is extremely well structured as once you complete you semester 2 university exams you come straight into the workplace where you can utilise that learning on audit engagements. The structure of the placement as a whole was extremely well done.
There are many flying start champions who you can turn to if you need help with something in addition to your career coach and buddy.
There is a lot of support as the training provider sets you up to help you pass your necessary exams.
Yes it gives you an incentive to want to get the qualification.
There are many social events within the workplace to meet new people in addition to office sports teams to participate in if you are a fan of those sports.
Yes
They promote a positive working environment all while truly improving your individual ability making you a truly skills worker.
