Apprentice Project Controller Review

Project management - analysing performance of a variety of teams against our budgets and targets and reporting up to director level for high level decision making. Identifying ways in which we improve our business.

Yes I have developed a wide range of skills along the way and developed others I already had. My confidence has grown exponentially and I have developed considerably as a professional. I have learnt how to use a wide range of software specific to PM.

I have enjoyed my programme for a variety of reasons. Although the 6 month time span in roles felt quite short, it allowed me to gain a good understanding of the business and see many different areas in a short space of time.

I think the structure of the programme is great. On the college side we have plenty of time to complete all assignments and our projects. We have plenty of support throughout.

We receive all the support we need. Both from the apprenticeship team and our own teams there is no shortage of help if needed.

In terms of Pearson I believe they provided a range of different material for us to utilise when completing assignments and our Projects. Our own Skills coaches were also on hand to help whenever we needed it.

I feel as though I was already relatively proficient in a number of the skills taught on my scheme however the apprenticeship has helped me to develop them further which in turn allows me to perform better in my role.

Yes there are always other events going on outside of work but that are provided through work itself. These can be work related activities or just purely social events.
