My role involves the development, design and build of educational programmes and curriculum including all innovative teaching and learning resources. My key responsibilities include: Curriculum Development: Designing and updating curriculum to meet educational standards and address learner needs. Collaboration: Working within a multi-disciplinary team inclusive of internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across industry specific subjects and levels. Quality Assurance: Monitoring teaching practices and learner outcomes to maintain high educational standards. Training and Support: Providing professional development for teaching staff to enhance instructional strategies. Data Analysis: Analysing learner performance data to inform curriculum improvements and interventions. Overall, as Curriculum Lead I play a vital role in ensuring effective teaching and learning, promoting educational excellence and quality training/personal development.
I have developed so many new skills and have a deeper understanding now of curriculum design, how to identify and build engaging and innovative teaching and learning resources. I now have a very good understanding of teaching methodologies and how to embed theories and models to elevate my teaching practice.
I love it! This Apprenticeship is delivered via the Realise Academy which provides a safe and encouraging learning environment for me to test new skills and develop my knowledge. It has been such a learning curve for me and everyone involved has been so supportive and encouraging.
The curriculum for this programme has been well designed to embed flip learning making remote and face to face sessions more interactive and if I am honest, fun! Who knew that learning such an in-depth subject could be so much fun!
My employer is very supportive always accommodating the need for me to attend sessions and engage with personal study time during my working hours. I honestly cannot fault my employer. As well as this, resources I may need to aid my study are always readily available.
The programme is undertaken via the Academy so support is the main priority. I am challenged to explore my own thought processes as well as being stretched and challenged to explore new ideas and teaching methodologies.
My creativity has expanded and the way I approach curriculum design now means that I am naturally able to consider a variety of pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning. I am much more confident now in my delivery of teaching and feel like I want to 'spread the word'
Always! From webinars to social gatherings and of course joining my cohort of fellow learners on what I call 'development away days' which plays a significant role in developing my confidence of classroom based teaching, something I have not engage with since prior to Covid Lockdowns!
Yes
To learn in a supportive, safe and encouraging environment. Alongside this, the teaching is delivered to us in an inclusive way which is enjoyable, interactive and varied. The resources to support with own study time are plentiful and accessible no matter what your learning need is.
There are so many programmes and courses available so make use of the pre-enrolment support and be honest about your learning needs, your fears and where you want the course to take you in your career.
