I support in store customers with recommendations and navigating around the store, putting stock out twice a week, refunds
I have learnt to view the business and the way it runs in a different way, acknowledging there is a responsibility for us to keep the store running well
I enjoy learning how day to day operations are dealt with, gaining an insight into why we do things and understanding there are a few ways of handing situations that may work more for us then other options.
It is organised with course modules that outlines the topics that are going to be completed, you can view the progress you are making through the OneFile system they use, there is a assigned tutor to every worker. They are friendly and knowledgeable.
I get 100% of their efforts, I feel my employers value the time I am putting into this and they are enabling me to be flexible and work in a positive evnrioment.
I can contact them anytime and will get a fast response, I think a bit more guidance around the first few starting months would've been more effective for me, as someone who needs to develop their organisational skills getting into the way of things took some time.
Once I finish I believe I would be able to perform my role with more understanding and strategic mindset in my day to day working life, this will benefit me professionally and in my personal life. Skills like setting goals and working towards them in a effective way. It has also, provided me with confidence, knowledge and stepping out of my comfort zone
We go on social work nights out, hold Christmas do's and people regularly ask if anyone is doing anything this weekend, wanting to go to concerts and local gigs.
Yes
