I look after the elderly and vulnerable in our community, seeing to their daily needs being met. Assisting with medication administration, encouraging and assisting with personal well being of the service user such as personal care, feeding or meal preparations and support works such as shopping and companionship.
I have learnt a lot of new skills and also developed existing skills in me such as clear communication, patience. empathy, showing kindness and care in my work with vulnerable adults in the community. I have also learnt time management skills
I do enjoy it very much as most of it involve day to day real life experiences
very well organized as we follow assigned tasks and schedules on rota
As much as i need
As much as i need and ask for
It gives me a clearer insight on my day to day activity, it helps me apply all i learn to field work thus making me provide better care service
yes there are , but mostly for those who work internally , we who work mostly in direct contact with service users do not usually have the time to go for social activities due to the high demand of care needed to be provided daily
Yes
Because it is the best care agency i've worked with so far. Service users needs are met on daily basis through a perfectly structured care plan drawn up for each service user thus providing excellent care services to vulnerable adults, allowing them the right of choice towards their care package and type of services provided by well trained well being workers. Also Westminster Homecare looks after their staffs by promoting growth and developmental training courses towards career growth, also pays staff better than most care agencies .
Be flexible , caring ,empathetic and willing to work well with the elderly and vulnerable in the society.
