  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a Content Creator apprentice at a marketing agency. This involves learning the bespoke CMS the company I work for uses and publishing content onto the website. I wrote copy for and created event and offer pages for clients and general events that our audience would be interested in. Created Instagram and Facebook stories on various pages and created content for different social media pages across platforms like Instagram, Facebook and X (Twitter). I added press releases and adapted news pieces for the company's websites.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes: Using tools like SEO checkers, WordPress, Canva, PhotoShop to develop skills/learn new ones. Also skills on: report writing, conducting evaluations, targeting audiences through communication styles, writing styles and the correct distribution channel, creating content plans, how to work with internal & external stakeholders to create content effectively.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot because it teaches me ample new and helpful information about being a content creator. I learn conveniently online on a stable learning platform - Adobe Connect and was given workbooks that the whole training group were required to use. My work was monitored to ensure I understood lesson content throughout.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well organised, my training provider was available by email, phone call and the one time my training provider was ill my group was given a cover with another coach with good notice and clear instructions. The information for my end point assessment was given at the start of my course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Support was offered by my employer and if I needed time to complete apprenticeship work during working hours I could request this and it was given to me. My employer fully understood what was expected of me in my course and had regular meetings with my coach and I.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They offered help with preparation and conducted a mock assessment for one of my oral assessment. They were not allowed to look at my written assessments but plenty of help was provided with extra prep calls for all training groups administered and 1-2-1 meetings with my coach without me having to request them.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps me perform better because I learn about working effectively in my colleagues to carry out content. I also learned how to write and interpret a content plan. As well as this I learned a plethora of practical skills and developed them through the compulsory PDP and reflected on these.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, during my apprenticeship I began attending professional networking events monthly. I also have quarterly meetings with all employees at my company. Social activities include an introductory team lunch on my first day and a Christmas party with the whole team.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Baltic Apprenticeships to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They have well-qualified coaches (teachers) and a standardised curriculum. Apprentices can learn from home but still be fully supported. The course is thorough and helpful for content creators and digital marketers. There are extra skills and professional development opportunities as the agency have their own platform with live classes.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Baltic Apprenticeships?
  • Make use of the learning materials given and ask coaches for any help you need.
