  • My role is residential child care , I look after young children in a care home. I ensure that all their needs are met and they are being looked after. Providing a safe home with their own room with clean clothing. We provide food for the children and ensure that all the doctors appointments are all up to date

  • I have learnt new skills with the apprenticeship. It has helped me to gain the knowledge and refresh my memories. It has supported me to work as a team and use some of the information that I have learnt into my work. It has given me more confidence as I have learnt all the knowledge

  • I really enjoyed the course as it helps helping me to learn new information and giving more knowledge and boost my knowledge and confidence

  • I realise a lot of support as if I am unable to answer any question I could email my trainer and they will help me and explain it differently for me to understand

  • Because we are like one big family , everyone supports each other and make sure we all help each other. We ensure that we provide for the children and all their needs are met. We all work as a team to ensure all their young children are all looked after and are in an safe environment


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Five Rivers Child Care?
  • That we all work as a big family and a team so we will help and support each other just come and open and willing to learn new skills
