When I first started the Level 3 Apprenticeship I was a Team Leader/Supervisor of a Document Management Team consisting of 12 team members. I wanted to do the course in order to help with my day to day role and manage the team with more confidence and learn to manage the team correctly.
Whilst completing the course I was promoted to Office Manager and inherited another 8 team members, as Records Management team joined my current team. I learnt how to deal with conflict, absence management and time management. Learning how to deal with time management was a must. Learning how to manage my time with the work load as well as the team, was much needed.
I did not have much time to complete the Apprenticeship due to my work load, and not having the required assistance of my then Manager (mentor). So I did not really get to enjoy the course. My Learning Partner, Alistair was a great help and support which I needed to complete the course.
The programme was well set out on the portal and was easy to follow and understand.
Unfortunately I did not have the support of my direct manager (mentor), who left before I completed my course. My company also got bought out by SPS. SPS allowed me to continue with my Apprenticeship, without me having to start again. Another manager from SPS took over mentoring me and so I received support.
My learning partner provided me with all the support I needed to complete the tasks in order to succeed in completing the Apprenticeship. he was contactable and responded with extra support where needed.
I believe by passing my apprenticeship with a distinction showed my Employer that I had the skills to manage the team and I was promoted to Office Manager. They leave me to manage the team and work without much input.

We are no longer Mitie, but SPS. Therefore I would recommend SPS and not Mitie Ltd
To definitely go for any educational training which is offered by Mitie. I was given the opportunity to start the Apprenticeship and I am glad I completed the course. It has certainly helped me to progress within SPS.
