  • Running the store, cash handling, key holding responsibilities. Working stock, customer service. Keeping the store legal and ensuring all safety measures are ashered to.

  • Development of delegation skills, with feedback and follow up. Training of new colleagues, finding the best way of learning/teacher.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed using the apprenticeship as an opportunity to dig dipper and learn things about the company and retail as a whole. I found this very useful and was able to use this knowledge in my day to day work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My trainer was amazing, and very knowledgeable. The programme was quite varied, and sometimes asked for information that I would not have access to.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • This was more difficult to achieve. As Store Managers didn't value the apprenticeship and would not give me the time to complete. A lot of the work was completed in my own time.

  • My trainer was amazing. She was always available to talk to and I found this a great help

  • I feel it gave me more confidence and knowledge to perform my role to a higher standard.

  • No work life balance and no help to progress are develop.

  • Consider the work load and impact that it will have on your personal life. It's a very demanding role and takes a lot of your time.
