  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I found the projects both useful in devolving new skills and improving old skills and interesting and with 3 other staff members on the apprenticeship, we could do some of the projects together and draw off each others knowledge.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I found some off the management methods very useful and this apprenticeship has improved my communication skills so much, my emails are far more structured and my emotional intelligence is so much better now.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I feel the balance of the course is very good and the content is interesting but also appropriate to my job.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is really well organised with a good balance between workshops, courses and Surgery days.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager has been brilliant, he allowed me time away from my day job to undertake projects, allowed me study days. Without his support I would really have struggled.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • she has been amazing throughout my apprenticeship journey, she has been there to support me all along. When I needed help she was at the end of the phone giving assistance and advice.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The knowledge I have gained through this apprenticeship is invaluable to my role as it has improved my communication skills and management skills.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • None that I am aware of.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Go-Ahead London to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • The company is undergoing major restructure at the moment and I would not recommend Go-Ahead until that process is complete.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Go-Ahead London?
  • If you want to progress then network and don't be put off if you do not succeed straight away. The career path is their for those that are patient and persistent.
