I help prep and cook food in a secondary school kitchen. I also ensure cleanliness and organisation to keep food and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Before joining my work , I had no previous experience in a kitchen , Everything involved in the kitchen was a new learnt skill.
I really enjoy working in a kitchen , learning new skills and having new experiences in cooking.
The programme is set in a well organised manor with all times and instructions clear.
My employers have been great at supporting me , I have frequent conversations about my progress and what I can do better.
My training provider has been great so far , always available for me when I needed support.
As my qualification has not fully started yet , I find that it has not yet supported my job role.
There are plenty of functions and events at work that I have been taking a part of since I started work here. They are a great opportunity to learn from and network with other people from around the company
Yes
The company gave me my start in work , and have since made a great effort towards my development, it has been a great experience.
You’ll get as much as you put in. Make an effort and the people here will recognise and make an effort in you.
