  • In this role I generally practise electronic technician skills whilst attending a university centre once a week. It should be noted that this is not representative of the entire apprenticeship as after around 18 months site placements start which can offer interesting opportunities to learn engineering skills.

  • The company's organisation is very good but the provider for the HNC to degree level education is poorly organised.

  • The educational provider can be suboptimal at times.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a good company to work at however there are also large disparities that exist between certain different apprenticeships of the same level.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AWE?
  • Research the company beforehand to learn about its four core values and the different aspects of the business (e.g. forensic seismology)
