  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • i am an operations supervisor and this is a relatively new role to me i am learning the role and new experiences this is a big help doing this course as it is helping me deliver meetings team meetings and no processes. i am enjoying the new experiences and learning new tools to help me in my role.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i have really enjoyed the workshops and the calls with my learning mentor so this is helping me in my daily role. i take a lot of new knowledge away with me in particular about how i manage the engineers and they ways i deliver things to them including some of my engineers who are neurodiverse.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i really enjoy the workshops hearing other peoples points of view and experiences this helps me to look at certain things from a different point of view.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • at first i found this all to be overwhelming but having had meetings and i have now got a little more structure and know where i need to improve. has been amazing through out this whole process and continues to support me.

  • My employer is very understanding in this role and course.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • is amazing and has helped me with every bit anytime i have reached out to her she has been very prompt and helpful, having recently found out i have ADHD i reached out to kelly and her words and support has been above anything i could have asked for.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • this is helping me develop the skills and knowledge i need to be a better manager and to never stop learning, it has helped me gain confidence to deliver team meetings and also recently a training course on emergency lighting to some new starter engineers.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we dont currently have any of these to attend but i will continue to look for these.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • it is a very inclusive place to work with a good atmosphere i was an engineer for many years before i took an internal promotion and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitie Ltd?
  • be honest and open and soak up as much knowledge as you can it is complex but interesting no two days are the same and the opportunity's and benefits are fantastic.
