Manage and monitor all fare collection systems, budget and forecast management, contract management, stakeholder engagement, supplier management, compliance with industry standards and requirements, ensure service level agreements are met, financial planning, writing business cases, project management, deploying and testing of new software.
I have learnt reflection techniques, how to create a Personal Development Plan, situational leadership, difference between leadership and management and trust and inspire leadership.
I did not enjoy the start with the change in coaches and having to repeat some functional skills classes but am pleased to have our new coach on-board. He provides more structure and support, can easily make sense of what is expected and how to navigate the course.
Programme is very well organised and structured.
My employer has been very supportive but change in roles has lead to less involvement in strategic initiatives and planning, so less influence in decision making.
With new coach on-board support is great as was the support received from functional skills trainers.
The training provided is very helpful and gives a great insight into the skills required to be a senior leader.
There are great opportunities to participate in professional networking events, invitations to speak at local events and all colleague briefings as well as ability to join numberous steering groups. There are various projects to get involved with too.
