  • I work for a Council in their HR department. I manage the Admin side for most of my colleagues. My job role is new to the company so my overall job role is subject to change.

  • I am currently only on my second module, but I have learnt a lot more than I would have expected to learn (I have done Communications and Stakeholders)

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is very enjoyable and my tutor is always there should I need any assistance for anything.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is very structured. There is a formal review with my tutor and manager every 3 months, which gets booked in advance. And my tutor is always able to attend the module sessions every month.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager is very helpful, and allows me a day a week to focus purely on my apprenticeship work. She also likes to get involved with what I am learning with my tutor, to make sure my day to day work load helps my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor is always there when I have a question. In my first month, I was confused by the purpose of Off the job Hours, and my tutor dedicated half hour to go onto a call with me and help me understand.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Due to the work done in my apprenticeship, I now have more background information for my job, which helps me do my job effectively.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Due to my position in my organization, I am able to assist and take part in events that happen. As of today I have taken part in 2 career fairs, 1 staff event but are working towards a second in the next week.

  • Yes

  • They are able to broaden your knowledge base, whilst providing support even if you may not need it.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MBKB Ltd?
  • Make sure your manager is very helpful and is aware that you will need to create a balance of work and learning. You will also need to dedicate at least half a day a week so you can work purely on your learning work.
