I provide administrative support to the Private Client Events team. I use applications such as Excel, SharePoint, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint and MS Planner to do this. I contact Partners regarding our events that their clients attend. I also create host packs for our hosts with client details so they are prepared to host the event.
I am doing a project management apprenticeship qualification alongside my role so I am learning lots of new skills that will hopefully help me do my job better.
I absolutely love the apprenticeship programme. I really like how you join the company with other apprentices and feel like there are always people you can talk to about the experience. It makes it less scary joining a big company when you have other people of your age and experience to do it with.
It is very well organised, the early careers team look after you very well in your first few months. The line managers are made aware of anything we may have to do as part of our apprenticeship and therefore the balance of work is very good.
I receive a lot of support from the company. There is a whole team of people dedicated to making your experience joining the company as seamless as possible. I also receive a lot of support from my manager, as she once once an apprentice at SJP too, she really understands the process.
My training provider is QA and I receive a lot of support from them, I have a primary trainer who I have meetings with to discuss my progress and I feel comfortable to ask lots of questions about the apprenticeship as it took me a bit of time to get my head round it.
I have not completed my qualification yet and have only had one live learning session but I feel that the qualification is somewhat helping me complete my role. This is because I am not working as a project manager, rather private client events administrator, so not everything I am learning applies to my role.
As part of the apprenticeship programme, we are set the task as a group of apprentices to put on a charity fundraising event as well as lots of smaller events in the run up. This includes bingo and quiz nights, cake sales and raffles. There is always something exciting going on in the office such as the Diwali celebration and Christmas markets in the office. At lunch and after work there are sometimes activities all the way from origami to yoga.

An apprenticeship is a brilliant way to get a qualification and gain real life work experience. SJP have nailed how they deliver this and it is a happy and smooth process. And a great company to work for with many amazing benefits!
Make sure you prepare for the assessment centre, learn as much about the company as you can, be yourself as they are looking for a happy, friendly person who is willing to learn as much as they can. Its not all about academic capability so don't worry too much about that. They really care about your attitude and excitement towards joining!
