I work within the ERP team to support the daily functions of the ERP system. I am involved in incident resolution, requests for change and various process's to support reliable performance. Some of my responsibilities include incident tracking and providing face-to-face advice to other employees.
In my time at SJP I have learnt SQL, been exposed to various platforms including power BI alongside completing my Business Administration L3 qualification.
I have enjoyed my experience this far and have benefited greatly from the work and study balance that I have. The fact that I have real world opportunities to apply my learning to makes the process more enjoyable.
My programme is very well structured. I dedicate 6 hrs/week to my qualification and maintain great communication with both my line manager and training provider if there are ever any issues or if I need more or less time to manage any expectations.
I receive constant support from my line manager who I have regular 1-2-1 meetings with to ensure that I am manging my time and resources well. This helps to avoid getting overwhelmed or, if I do my line line manager is there to help navigate any issues.
My training provider has provided excellent support through various online platforms. My skills coach (main point of contact) is reachable via email and their online chat platform slack and all my learning has been provided through an easily accessible online platform that I can complete at any time and track where in my programme I am.
My qualification aids in providing a solid foundation to my role. Whilst the content isn't specified to my role it helps me to understand processes and system in place and why they are in place.
There an incredible amount of social activities and networking event/opportunities available year round.
