  • Supporting the development of new data pipelines using ETL tools (Extract, Transform, Load) · Maintaining existing data pipelines and ensuring the daily load processes operate effectively · Operating controls over data to ensure that data quality thresholds are met · Supporting the development of new datasets/outputs on request from stakeholders · Investigating areas of interest in financial data to identify new trends and investigate unexplained data queries

  • Skills I have learnt: · programming languages such as SQL and Python · how data and databases interact with each other and how these can be used to extract important information for stakeholders · how to use data analysis tools (such as Power BI) to turn data into useful visuals · Soft skills on how be professional in the workplace

  • The job role is exactly as advertised which means I get to work on projects that I enjoy. · The apprenticeship programme has interesting and useful modules to help me advance my career · My team and manager lets me work to my strengths and prioritises giving me tasks that I enjoy · Everyone who works here is friendly and makes me feel welcome

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme seems well structured, with each module building off of the last. This means the course progressively gets more complex without making me feel overwhelmed. The programme also seems very relevant to the job I am doing which reinforces the things I learn with real working experience

  • I receive lots of support from my employer this includes: · regular meeting to catch up with my manager to see how I am progressing and feeling · a lengthy induction that introduced me to all parts of the business · joining with a cohort of other apprentices so I knew people across different areas of the business

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I get lots of support from my training provider, including: · Monthly meetings with my skills coach to check on progress · Lots of learning resources · Wellbeing support if necessary

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The modules are very relevant to my day to day tasks and give me insight into different aspects of data analysis that I would not have learnt otherwise. The course modules also align with the software I use on a day to day basis.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have been involved with the weekly SJP 6 aside football, where 12 people from across the business participate in a friendly match between in each other with random teams. I find it is a great way to meet people who you would not interact with otherwise.
