I am currently a Store Apprentice. My daily tasks involve working stock being on the tills. I am responsible for making sure that we have everything on sale at all times to maximize our profits. I will train to be a manager in the 2nd and 3rd you of my apprenticeship.
I've definitely developed my communication skills and I feel much more confident talking to people and satisfying their needs.
I love my job and I strive to do my best everyday. There's a really good team spirit in Aldi and it makes you feel so motivated to work because you're all in it together. I couldn't have asked for anymore from this programme.
From the moment I start to the moment I leave I am constantly feeling valued by everyone in the store. The managers are fantastic and make sure you know how much they appreciate what you do. Not to mention all of your fellow Store and Stock Assistants who give you praise everyday. It makes me so motivated to work.
The programme is faultless. It is well organised so I know my progress throughout and I know my goals for the future. All the training is done is done in store with people from outside the company. I get regular meetings with them and I always know where I stand with them. They make sure that I know what we will be doing at each meeting and it helps me to prepare for the meeting itself.
I get a lot of support from them. This involves regular meetings in store and my tutor emails me information on the units we will be doing at the next meeting. They are always very supportive and are happy to deal with any issues you ma have with the work. I never feel afraid to approach my tutor if I'm having an issue with my work.
The managers are fantastic when it comes to supporting me. If I have any issues then they make it their main priority to help you. They are also very supportive with the training I receive and are willing to help if I get stuck with one of the units. The managers will never turn you away if you have a problem.
Personally, I am happy with my salary at the moment as I don't pay any bills as I live at home with my parents. However, I am sure that my salary will be plenty enough to support me when I have bills of my own to pay. Plus, my salary increases every year throughout the apprentice programme until I become a manager.
There is the Aldi benefits programme that gives me money off shopping in many stores across the UK. I can also get money off things such as the gym and other leisure activities.

If you are a hard working person who enjoys a fast paced challenging job, then you will love Aldi. The team spirit of the company makes you so happy in your job and motivates you to work harder to help the company reach its full potential. I love my job and I'm sure many other members of staff feel the same way.
Take any opportunity you can to get a job in Aldi. You won't regret it. Be keen to work and help the company succeed. I would also recommend the management apprenticeship programme to anybody looking into Aldi Apprenticeships
