  • I’m an assistant manager so my job role involves all the aspects of care and support for the Individuals we support aswell as supporting the staff team I work with

  • I’ve learnt a lot working up the ladder, I started as relief staff with no care experience and now I’m an assistant manager

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It is good, but there is a lot of work just to get it completed and some of the questions can be quite repetitive

  • They break it down so it’s easy enough to follow

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I only get 1 day a month to get my course done with my company so I spend most of my days off working on it

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Whenever I need help I can always email and I usually get a response in a day or two. At first it was hard to get help as they kept changing my trainer, but I’ve had the same one for the last 6months

  • Some of it I will never use but other parts can help me

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because everywhere is looking for care workers and even though we don’t do company activities we still work together to provide the best care for those we support


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Choice Support?
  • Always mention how important safeguarding is and person-centred approach plus explain what it is. Just be yourself don’t put on an act because the amount you will work there you’ll never be able ti hide for long
