From starting this apprenticeship I have learnt how to deal with conflict. Before I learnt about how to deal with conflict, I would put my co-workers opinions before my own. Now I have learnt how to deal with conflict correctly we now work together and collaborate our ideas with each other so we are all working off the same page.
So far im enjoying my level 2 in adult care worker. I have learnt more about the legislation and how to manage conflict correctly. I have also further developed my former knowledge and understanding which I will take with me into my job role. This apprenticeship has really helped me grow and develop as a support worker.
I find this apprenticeship really organised. I find the bud website really easy to use and I like how you can look at all the module that need completing for the course. I also like the meeting with my tutor as she helps me if I ever need advice or if I struggling on the assignments
I receive a lot of support from my employer. I am scheduled for 9-5 NVQ every week which helps me learn and develop my skills and knowledge. If I’m ever stuck I ask my service manager for help or the registered if they are available. Have a set day helps me keep focused on my nvq
I feel like I receive the right amount of support from my tutor. This is because she helps me when I need her and she always suggest what I need to add or change to my assignments to make it even better. My tutor also does review with me which I find useful as I can ask any questions I may have
I have learnt new skills and have also developed my prior knowledge to this course. I will take away all the extra information I have learnt about and will use it in my role as a support worker. I have found this course useful and I have enjoyed learning new skills to help me further improve
During summer we tend to get out the karaoke machine and basketball net. We play games with and against the service users to help prompt their wellbeing. We tend to do this in the summer because it’s warmer and the service users enjoying sitting in the garden during this period.

It’s never the same shift the staff and service users you work with make a massive impact on you and it’s lovely to see when the service users are thriving. It can sometimes be a challenging job however the smile on each and every service users make you realise why you do what you do for work
Be confident and don’t worry if you never had any experience in care. When I started at Eden futures, I didn’t have much experience in care however I have learnt how to be a support worker through e-learning, training and being shown how to paperwork. This has helped me transition into the role
