Risk Management for the EVRi North area, covering H&S and Facilities management. I manage the UK-wide H&S management system which includes the collection / analysis of data, reporting and development of control measures. Additionally I run the UK-wide ISO certification programme for 9001, 14001 and 45001
Yes. Even though I am on my 2nd month, I am already gaining familiarity with Python and have gained a great overview of the technologies involved in Data Analytics
I'm really enjoying the programme, because it is answering questions that I have been asking myself for a long time. Each lesson provides me with more ideas on how to improve our management system and automation tools!
Feels well-structured and organized, the curriculum jumps straight into practical programming which ensures that I feel I'm making good progress. The Kate learning environment provides a lot of additional learning support and I also have a course mentor who helps me to keep on track.
Couldn't ask for more support. My manager has allowed me to allocate a day per week exclusively to the course, and is attending the progress review calls.
I have a course mentor who contacts me regularly and is supporting me through the whole process (including attaining the required certifications for maths & english).
it's early in the course, but I can already see many areas where I can apply what I'm learning in my day-to-day role. The course material will allow me to develop tools & processes that will lift the performance / effectiveness of our whole team.
I understand there are some activities at our Head Office location, but not much going on elsewhere (that I know about)
Yes
EVRi is a very dynamic and demanding employer, innovation and experimentation is encouraged. If I have an idea I'm given the freedom to try it out and feed back the results to my team so we can make a group decision on adoption. Never a dull moment!
Focus on your practical achievements, not your qualifications. Can you demonstrate innovation, strong team participation, good communication, personal action leading to improvements in effectiveness, efficiency or profit?
