Day-to-day I do accounts prep jobs for small to medium sized business. From farmers, to doctors and footballers. There's a large variety of work that I do.
Yes, i can now produce a full set of accounts from scratch, as well as use many different accounting softwares such as sage and xero.
I do enjoy the programme, however, my department sometimes has a lack of work making it hard to develop at the same rate as other people in the firm.
There's a significant gap between assistants and management and not many people in between. this results in lower levels of training for new starters as manager do not have time to train up new starters. However, there is a good plan in place to take you from easier jobs to harder one
Support is good from my employers
BPP provides okay support. Their systems are quite confusing and they often taking long periods to respond to queries. All my lectures have also been online, which does not work well for me.

The social side of RSM is very good. We have monthly drinks, team bonding activities and an overall great atmosphere in the office. We also have regular networking events with clients and staff
Yes
The work environment at RSM is the best I have experienced. We have the same recourses and clients as the big 4 firms, but without the stress and pressure of working in these firms. We all work together as a team, and are always there for each other. We enjoy spending time with each other outside of work and i think the team spirit at RSM is what makes it special.
Be yourself. Personality is the most important thing when applying. We are not looking for the smartest or the best. We are looking for people who are willing to learn and be part of a team.
