I work in the ERP Team as a system tester, I test the systems and functions that the employees use within the business. these being Finance, Payroll, Human resources and more.
I have learnt a lot about technical systems and how important they are for the smooth running of a business. I have also developed how I present myself in and around the office, and workplace etiquette.
I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship, I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of new people and develop my knowledge throughout this experience. Along with this, I have learnt new skills that aren't academically taught, like putting the knowledge into practice.
My programme has been organised really well within the business, giving me the opportunity to learn and experience new things. However, the apprenticeship course provider (FireBrand) has been iffy, with a lack of information and a system that is difficult to use and understand.
I have received a lot of support and assistance throughout my apprenticeship from both my manager and team members, and also the early careers team.
My training provider has been helpful with support towards my qualification. However, the system they use and how its ran is very confusing and difficult to complete, yet the early careers team at SJP have been helpful.
So far i have completed 1/3 of my course and it has already taught me so much more than I knew previously.
Yes
St. James's Place is a really good company who look after all employees and have a very good reputation. Since joining it has been very clear why and how they built up this reputation, I will most definitely recommend SJP to people I meet.
I would just say, be confident and choose a job role that you are passionate about and you actually find interesting!
