My role involves me being part of a team that looks after the machines on site. We work on breakdowns, planned maintenance and preventative maintenance.
I have learnt a variety of different skills including improving my communication skills. I have learnt a lot about electrical engineering and equipment. Plc’s and how different formats of programme work. I am also a lot more experienced when it comes to the safety aspect of work
I would say that I enjoy the programme, I have learnt a lot and have gained some valuable experience.
There could be improvements made to the structure mainly in terms of the college that was used for the theory side of the apprenticeship
I have received a good amount of support from my employer and the team that I work with
In terms of the training provider I have received very little help when it comes to the BTEC course. There was little to no class room teaching aspect.
The practical side of the training I received was helpful, I learnt about PLC’s and how to wire different circuits
There are little to no social events that are available in my workplace
Yes
I think the employer is good to work for in terms of learning about your role and gaining experience
When applying for a role in my feild I would request to not have make uk as the training provider
