  • My role involves me being part of a team that looks after the machines on site. We work on breakdowns, planned maintenance and preventative maintenance.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a variety of different skills including improving my communication skills. I have learnt a lot about electrical engineering and equipment. Plc’s and how different formats of programme work. I am also a lot more experienced when it comes to the safety aspect of work

  • I would say that I enjoy the programme, I have learnt a lot and have gained some valuable experience.

  • There could be improvements made to the structure mainly in terms of the college that was used for the theory side of the apprenticeship

  • I have received a good amount of support from my employer and the team that I work with

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • In terms of the training provider I have received very little help when it comes to the BTEC course. There was little to no class room teaching aspect.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The practical side of the training I received was helpful, I learnt about PLC’s and how to wire different circuits

  • There are little to no social events that are available in my workplace

  • I think the employer is good to work for in terms of learning about your role and gaining experience

  • When applying for a role in my feild I would request to not have make uk as the training provider
