This has been a great experience so far. Day to day my role involves completing workpapers, interacting with clients and regular catch ups with team members which is really helpful for understanding and learning.
Yes I have developed my confidence, time management, communication skills and much more.
I thoroughly enjoy this programme so far, the people I speak to everyday are all so lovely and helpful and welcoming which definitely makes it easier to fit in as a new apprentice. This programme has allowed me to challenge myself and learn new things every single day.
The programme is well structured with a good balance of work, training and studying.
I have received so much support from my employer, there are teams of people to help with every problem and everyone is very responsive when an issue may arise.
There are tutors, videos, PowerPoints all available whenever needed. Teachers are also very helpful and still provide support once the studying period is over.
It provides a suitable base knowledge so that while working you are not completely in the dark and overwhelmed by all the terminology used day to day.
There are many activities to get involved with. There are socials often and loads of societies that people can join, anyone can join any of these and there is plenty of information provided about each one. There are also teams you can join such as recruitment meaning you can help out at events etc.
Yes
The people are so friendly and everyone is so helpful, even if you ask a question and someone does not know the answer they will help you find it. There is such a welcoming feeling in KPMG and a positive sense of teamwork.
Be yourself, ask questions and enjoy the process.
