I audit a companies financial statements. This involves analysing data on excel and speaking to clients. I create samples using KPMGs systems and check that all of the data the entity has provided match and acts as proof that that transaction occurred
I have learnt many skills so far mainly to do with excel and how to communicate with clients effectively. I have developed my confidence in asking questions and being curious.
I very much enjoy the programme as it offers many opportunities to meet people and the atmosphere in the office and within teams is usually fun
The programme is well structured but as you are mainly an employee and not a student you will have to take initiative and ask for work and speak up if you don't know what to do.
I receive lots of support through the early careers team and the teams that I work with
When I am training for a qualification I receive lots of support from my training provider
the qualification is very much linked with what I do day to day and the teaching from the provider allows mw to better understand my role
There are many social activities, they are a mixture of afterwork drinks, sports classes and trips out.
Yes
It is a great atmosphere and provides a lot of support
Learn about the company first and be yourself during the interviews as they don't just hire the smartest people they want to know that you will fit in well with the team
