    • As a smart meter installer, I fit and maintain gas and electricity smart meters in homes and businesses. I ensure meters work correctly, explain usage data to customers, and promote energy efficiency. My job involves testing, troubleshooting, and following safety regulations while providing excellent customer service during installations and repairs.

    • As a smart meter installer, I develop skills in electrical and gas safety, meter installation, and fault diagnosis. I gain hands-on experience with tools, testing equipment, and troubleshooting. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with time management and the ability to work independently while following regulations.
