Quote: Before I came to AWE to do an apprenticeship, I completed a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering. Despite this, coming to AWE to do a level 3 apprenticeship is entirely different to doing a level 3 in a purely academic environment.
Not only has studying an apprenticeship opened up so many different opportunities for me for future career endeavours but it allows to complete my studies whilst working in a hands-on, practical and highly technical environment.
This is not something that I found was the case whilst previously studying a level 3 which often resulted in sitting in front of powerpoint all day!
Of course, I can’t forget about being able to earn while I learn! I’m glad I chose to do an apprenticeship with AWE at the same level as I’m able to really consolidate what I know whilst expanding my skills continuously.
