What first attracted you to the programme?
Before starting the programme I was new to my role as a branch administrator and believed this programme would support my learning and understanding of my new role within the industry.
How have you been supported throughout the programme and beyond?
My manager supported me throughout my apprenticeship, I given time required to complete the programme and I was given multiple opportunities to put my learning into practice. By completing various tasks or projects that allowed me to work with my colleagues at the branch to develop my skills.
What’s your favourite thing about being on an Apprenticeship programme with LEAP?
My favourite thing about being on the apprenticeship programme was being able to explore new opportunities and being taken out of my comfort zone for my personal development.
How has / will the programme set you up for success in your career?
The apprenticeship programme allowed me to be able to explore different areas of the branch and carry out projects that I will continue to take on as part of my current role. The programme has opened opportunities for me to be able to support the branch as I adapt to my role.
How has your apprenticeship made you more effective in your role? Give an example.
Completing the programme has made me more confident and pushed me to complete projects that I may not have had the opportunity to complete before. I now support the branch in managing its uniform budget which was part of my final project for the programme where I had to carry out a project presentation, something that was out of my comfort zone but has allowed me to gain a new skill.
How has / will the programme help you personally?
The programme helped me to feel more confident in my role as branch administrator and has provided me with new learning opportunities.
What has been your proudest moment since starting your Apprenticeship?
Completing the apprenticeship alongside my job role by effectively managing my time so that I was able to achieve all my deadlines and my final result.
Do you have any advice for someone thinking of enrolling on an apprenticeship?
Firstly, to believe in yourself and take the opportunity that the company is offering. You have nothing to lose and can gain a lot in personal development. Secondly, to be well organised and try to make a plan of action for each module so that you're able to stay on track.
